BOOST YOUR CS1.6 SERVER FOR FREE! XBOOST METHOD

Hello guys, I'll show you how to install XBOOST into your server from scratch, for those who are new or just don't know how things work

---------------- STEP 1 ----------------

So, the first thing we'll do is to find an old HLDS version for Linux, I have found one that we're going to use in this tutorial (All links are in the description)

I'll use PUTTY to download the HLDS directly to my server files...
I'll just put this line of commands

-> wget www.dedicated-server.ru/hlds_linux_6153_beta.zip

After the download is finished, We'll have to unzip that HLDS archive that we just downloaded

-> unzip hlds_linux_6153_beta.zip

Then we grant some access to the HLDS files so we don't face any unwanted problems...

---------------- STEP 2 ----------------

Now let's just to step number 2

Now you guys need to download the files of XBOOST, just follow the link up to download it!

Then upload it inside HLDS that we just downloaded...

The XBOOST archive that I provided comes already with (metamod and dproto), if you're using your own version of HLDS make sure that you separate those from the files you're going to upload so you don't overwrite some files and break your server

---------------- STEP 3 ----------------

Now let's unzip "XBOOST.zip", since I already upload it I'll use PuTTy to unzip it directly from there

---------------- STEP 4 ----------------

Now will edit "liblist.gam" that's located inside the "cstrike" folder in order to get metamod working...
Add at the end of the line or replace it if already exist:

gamedll_linux "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod.so"

---------------- STEP 5 ----------------

We'll also need to install AMXMODX because XBOOST require a module called Orphue in order to run
Download AMXX from here -> AMXMODX
Download the AMX Mod X Base first, then download the AMXX Counter-Strike Addon for Linux

---------------- STEP 6 ----------------

Run the server, if everything runs just fine, go to the console and write "status" if you see the bots with real random SteamID! congr.

No problem mate.

That's because you're trying to connect to the server via the Steam version of CS1.6, to connect to the server if you're facing that problem just open your console and type: connect IP:PORT (of your server).
